Winter aeration

Throughout the winter months Ramsey County periodically checks the dissolved oxygen level in Lake Owasso.  If the level falls below 5mg/l (milligrams/liter) an aerator is operated to generate additional dissolved oxygen to protect fish.  The longer the winter and the longer the snow cover, the more likely that dissolved oxygen will fall below 5mg/L.  The aerator is located near Chandler and North Owasso Blvd.
